This year, I have a goal of location scouting more. Last year I discovered some absolute gems and I know there are more if I just take the time. I personally don't like sharing a spot with dozens of other photographers - meaning showing up to photograph a session and the location is overrun. Having a bit of privacy and some "room to breathe" always makes for a better session.
Finding a perfect spot sometimes can be in the weirdest of places. Sometimes I've shot on the literal side of the road. Other times I hopped in my car and just drove. That's how I discovered this beautiful place. And it was the perfect spot for Simone and Brennan's Autumn engagement photos.
What I really love about Simone and Brennan is how much fun they have together. You can tell there is lots of laughter in their relationship. I love when couples will let loose and make the faces, laugh big, tickle each other, whisper those inside jokes. Those things are really what will make your session more personal and unique to you. I think I was laughing as much as the 2 of them during this session.
I especially love that these 2 love birds have known each other since they were little. What amazing stories and history they have! They have a deep relationship that will hold them steady in the future. I cannot wait to watch them say "I Do" to each other next year.
