What a strange season right now in the world. So many things feel broken, disorienting, wonky, and downright strange. Nothing is as it "should be". Emmy had always wanted her senior portraits in West Desert, but this cool area gave such a new take on the senior portraits.

We headed out on a Sunday afternoon. Many of our times together start with a drive, talking, laughing, and then really diving into stuff beneath the surface. Emmy is a very smart and passionate young lady. She has overcome a lot, not just the upset of her senior year, but many other things in her life. And I'm consistently amazed at her strength.

It's very strange to have known her for over 10 years now. I've watched her grow up from a girl into this incredible young lady. I'm very proud of her and still honored that I can call her a friend. Congratulations Emmy! You are about to start an amazing journey. I don't have much advice except learn to enjoy the ride. And find you tribe!
